The effect is more like inherited power than honesty.
It has high surprise performance because it is a hand trigger, but the advantage loss is large.
In Mermail, there are only Abyslinde cards that trigger destruction, so it's hard to make use of this trigger. Also, considering his ATK from Mermail, he's not going to be that explosive of an ATK boost, and it's highly likely that his ATK boost isn't enough for spending two copies.
The 2nd effect also needs to be sent from the field to his GY, so it is an alternative to the 1st effect. Moreover, it hurts that he can't use Atlantean because he sends GY as an effect.
Rather, since the effect is not limited to Mermail, it may be better for him to find a way out with a WATER Deck that works well with destruction effects such as Crystron and Gradle.

Mermail new after a long time.
It can do something like the WATER version of Honest, but it requires a lot of sheets, and there is no lack of synergy with Linde, etc., but there is little taste that destroys anything other than Linde, and it cannot be said that synergy with existing ones is very strong. right.
